Projection Room, Ways of Seeing London Exhibition, London

AU Studio were approached by Ove Arup & Partners to design, fabricate and install a projection room and matching furniture as part of the Ways of Seeing London Exhibition.
The deceptively simple construction makes full use of the advantages of CNC manufacturing processes to minimise on site construction time and disruption in this high profile and technically challenging installation space. The complex perforated patterns are inspired by the botanical illustrations of Anne Rudge, wife of the botanist and antiquary Edward Rudge (1763–1846) who worked from the very site of the installation.

The exhibition is open to the public from 16 March - 18 June 2010 at the Arup Phase 2 Gallery, 8 Fitzroy Street, London, W1T 4BJ. Admission is free.
